How It Started
A simple need: reduce uncertainty when someone cannot confirm they are safe.
As a freelance Technical Director, I travel regularly and work with clients across different time zones. My partner often worried when I did not respond for hours: was it a meeting, a network issue, or something worse?
I built CheckPoint first for my partner, then for my brother and his wife. One simple rule: if I miss a check-in, an automatic message goes out with the context our loved ones need.
What started as a personal project became something bigger when friends asked to use it, then our family, and now a growing community.
